  1. Tell us a little bit about your business and what you do.

Lord honey, I have been an entrepreneur since I was 15 years old. I started a catering company at the tender age of 15 and then opened a floral shop all while running a catering business. I moved into cooking and managing a school cafeteria and then onto winning three cooking/baking competitions on one of the top food television networks in the country. I’ve done multiple cooking and baking shows on TV, started a Country Bling Apparel line, and now I have the ultimate job of being the Chief Confection Officer for GiGi’s Cupcakes. I wear many hats, and children let me tell ya, I love every minute of it. I wouldn’t change a thing and as I always say “ If’in you ain’t got 80 things going on at once, you ain’t livin’.”

  1. What made you aspire to be an entrepreneur?

Children, I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur. Since I was a small child, I’ve always known I was meant to help people out any way I can. It’s a pure and true passion of mine to help, help teach people to cook, help teach people to bake, help to make someone smile, help to make someone’s big day the best it can be. Entrepreneur has many meanings and I am a small hog in a big pen of great Entrepreneurs that’s changing the world one step at a time.

  1. What is the one thing you wish you had known before starting your own business?

Well honey, most people would say they didn’t know it was such hard work, but hard work is my middle name. I would say one thing I wish I knew before starting a business is how much it takes over your whole life, not in a bad way, in a very good way. You, your business, and the people you work with become a whole new family.

  1. What are the aspects of your business that you enjoy the most?

Makin’ everyone’s day better, spreading love and happiness.

  1. What do you love doing in your free time to refuel and have fun?

Well slap my face and call me sunshine. I love to fish, camp, work on my landscaping and spend time at the beach.
